MLGT: Winners from West Palm Beach, Jupiter

Steve LeBrun of West Palm Beach and Josh Hart of Jupiter demonstrated the advantages of local knowledge by winning Minor League Golf Tour tournaments on local golf courses the first two days of February.

LeBrun won his 74^th event on the MLGT with a Stableford points total of 44. His stroke play score Monday, Feb. 1 on the Estate Course at PGA National was 2-under-par 69 on six birdies and four bogeys. He earned $1,025 from the $ 6,900 purse and an additional $221 from an optional bonus pool. Since August 2007, LeBrun has collected some $211,000 on the MLGT.

A day later at nearby Abacoa Golf Club, Hart shot 67 on five birdies and a bogey for 4-under 67. From a similar purse, $6,644, Hart received $1,200 and another $232 from the bonus pool, raising his career MLGT money to $79,000 since February 2008.

There were 54 starters at each tournament, the 12th and 13^th of the MLGT’s 18^th season.
