MLGT: It’s Brazilian Lee, Brilliantly

Rodrigo Lee of Brazil has made two starts on the Minor League Golf Tour and each one has been a winning effort.

Lee closed out a two-day tournament Thursday, July 2 on the Fazio course at PGA National with a 1-under-par 71 after opening Wednesday with 63. At 134, he won by a stroke.

Camilo Aguado of Miami finished second on 68-67, with an eagle and seven birdies. He parred his last 12 holes the first round.

Lee received $1,400 from the $5,120 purse and another $367 from an optional bonus pool. He collected $791 Monday, totaling $2,558 for the two tournaments.

Andy Buege of New Albin, Iowa, won a second-day shootout Thursday among players who were outside the projected money list after the first round. He matched par-72, collecting $150 and an additional $54.29 in the skins game during regulation play.

The MLGT has one-day tournaments next week on Monday (PGA National-Estate), Tuesday (Abacoa GC) and

Wednesday (Indian Spring CC-East).
