MLGT: Hall’s 65 Edges Lee
Gavin Hall of Pittsford, N.Y., held off Brazilian Rodrigo Lee by 65-66 Thursday, Aug. 20, for his 12th win on the Minor League Golf Tour.

Hall made five birdies, an eagle at the par-5 12th hole and a bogey at the par-4 15th on the West course at Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth. He collected $670 from the $3,105 purse, raising his career earnings to $36,118 since September 2017.
Lee, who won his first two MLGT starts, on June 29 and July 1, had six birdies and a bogey to finish second among 25 starters. He received $500.
Palm Beach Gardens' Matt Hill had a clean card with four birdies and a 4-under 67 for third. He pocketed $500, including $100 from an optional bonus pool.
The MLGT plays a rare 54-hole tournament next week, Tuesday through Thursday at Atlantis CC. There will be a 36-hole cut to the low 40 percent and ties. Players missing the cut or who did not play earlier the week may enter the final day’s event.
