Doral Junior Open Titles To Mistretta, Shin

Trump National Doral hosted 83 of South Florida’s junior tour players at the second annual Doral Junior Open, Aug. 5-7 on the Red Tiger course.

With three subpar rounds of 71-70-67 (-8), North Palm Beach's Tyler Mistretta won the overall boys 13-18 division. Mistretta carded 13 birdies and three eagles over the three days. On the Par 5s, he was 14 under for the tournament, with nine birdies and three eagles.

Doral's Skylee Shin took home the girls 13-18 title by three strokes on 75-77-76.

In boys 16-18, Delray Beach's Carlos Caloca finished 1 under on 69-71-75. Caloca carded 12 birdies and one eagle.

Delray Beach's Makenna Rodriguez won girls 16-18 on 79-73-79.

Fort Lauderdale's Jake Manelas won boys 13-15 with 12 birdies en route to 4 under on 70-69-73.

Southwest Ranches' Katherine Schaefer won girls 13-15 division with super improvement, shooting 83-79-71.

Key Biscayne's Matias Saavedra (72-76-70) won boys 11-12.
