Cohn, St. Onge Take Seconds Palm Beach Gardens, Stuart Represented Well At Women's Senior Am

It was a tremendous and close-but-not-quite effort for a pair of South Florida golfers at the Women’s Senior Amateur Championship, held this week at  St. Johns Golf & Country Club in St. Augustine.

Palm Beach Gardens' Susan Cohn, the Women’s Senior Amateur defending champion, opened 71-73 but fought to the finish with a 79 and lost by a stroke to Kim Keyer-Scott of Bonita Springs. Cohn's opening 71 was the only sub-par round of the event. Cohn was T2 along with Lin Culver of Palm Coast.

In the Super-Senior division, Christine Hunt  of Ponte Vedra Beach defended her title and won this for the third time. Stuart's Sandie St. Onge, the first round co-leader on 80, shot 83 to finish three strokes back.
